Nevýbušné osvetlenie je rozdelené do troch kategórií: IIA, IIB, a IIC.

Trieda IIA

Suitable for places with gasoline-like substances, ako sú čerpacie stanice. Reprezentatívnym plynom pre túto kategóriu je propán.

Trieda IIB

Used in general factories where hazardous gases are present. Etylén is the representative gas for this classification.

Class IIC

Designed for factories exposed to vodík, acetylén, or carbon disulfide.
