按電氣防爆國家標準, BT4同BT6都屬於IIB類.

然而, the ‘T’ classification pertains to the temperature rating of explosion-proof electrical devices. 歸類為T6嘅設備必須保持表面溫度唔高於85°C, T5不得超過100°C, and T4 must not surpass 135°C.
The lower a device’s maximum surface 溫度, the less likely it is to ignite atmospheric gases, thereby enhancing safety. 因此, the explosion-proof rating of BT6 exceeds that of BT4.
